The youth are encouraged to join Peer Mediation Clubs (PMC’s) offered in many first and second cycle schools. These clubs, which have been set up in several schools in the Greater Accra and Central Regions of Ghana, seek to train and encourage students to promote peaceful resolution of conflicts among their peers as well as with the school authorities.

ADR TRAINING WORKSHOPS
WADREC also organizes training workshops on Conflict Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution for various traditional authorities as well as various groups. These groups are trained to mediate in and help resolve conflicts in their communities. One of such workshops was organized recently in conjunction with LAP for the chief and principal elders of Gbawe. Over the years, a number of the people who have been trained are currently serving on mediation committees in various communities in the Greater Accra Region, and others are serving as mediators for the judiciary.
Aside from its ADR and Conflict Management training for administrators professionals and opinion leaders such as chiefs, queen mothers and Assembly members, WADREC has been helping the women, youth, teachers to share their voices and views on conflict resolution through Press Conferences, Community durbars and meetings, peace marches and rallies.

MEDIATION CITY
In response to the number of unresolved cases pending in the courts and in recognition of the need for a fast and convenient way for conflict resolution, a team of experts in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) came together to establish a conflict resolution institution called MEDIATION CITY. The Mediation City is an organization which seeks to promote the use of ADR, primarily mediation and arbitration, in the settlement and management of disputes without going through the court system. The Mediation City offers and provides affordable, convenient and faster ways to resolving disputes to individuals and groups of people such as organizations and companies. ADR has been proven to be faster, cheaper and less stressful as compared to litigation. It produces a win-win situation most of the time, and restores strained interpersonal relationships.
